POLICIES

Welcome to Alpas, where every detail has been thoughtfully designed to foster your well-being as well as improve the health of our environment. Below is helpful pre-arrival information, as well as the resort guidelines, which we request all guests to keep in mind during their stay for a truly healthy and healing stay for all.

disclaimer

Alpas is for the adventurous and the open-minded. It is for those that want a local, authentic experience; to eat quality food whose origins & thoughtful preparations are honored and explained; to be at ease and informed by our staff; to feel the ocean breeze instead of air-conditioning; and to know that everything they’ve experienced and consumed from the food on their plates to washing their hands has been mindfully designed to have little to no impact on our environment and/or has supported local artisans in some way.

Alpas is built on the foundation that a business must exist for a greater purpose than profit. That means supporting our community, being responsible stewards of the land, being mindful of how our actions impact our environment, making decisions based on enacting these principles, and taking action against those that undermine them.

SINGLE-USE PLASTIC FREE ZONE

We ask our guests to please refrain from bringing any single use plastics (including but not limited to: plastic bags, drink bottles, snacks packed in plastic, takeaway containers/utensils, sachets of any kind). If it is unavoidable, we will ask you to pack them up with you upon checking your room before you leave. We want to keep our environment clean, healthy, and safe. Secondly, there is no proper waste management system in our town and so the plastics you throw away will not be properly disposed of. Please note, we provide water, shampoo, and soap in your rooms, and can feed you plastic free at our restaurant. We do not allow outside food and drinks to be consumed, or cooking done on premises.

the restaurant

In line with the Alpas philosophy of holistic wellness, the menu at the Restaurant revolves around the idea that food that lived well offers the highest form of taste and nutrition.
